ASE closed Wednesday in Green

Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) ended Wednesday’s trading session gaining 0.07% or 1.46 points, closing at the level of 2,089.13 points.

The main index rose on the back of the banking sector which added 0.09%, as Bank of Jordan, Cairo Amman Bank, and Jordan Kuwait Bank increased 0.42%, 0.54%, and 0.55% respectively.

International Cards led the session’s decliners, and lost 4.54%.

The industrial sector gained 0.43%, as Phosphate Mines added 7.22%, and was today’s top gainer.

On the other hand, the services sector declined 0.21%, as Jopetrol lost 0.85%.

Total traded volume decreased to 4.6 million shares compared to 6.5 million shares yesterday.

Total turnover also shrunk to JOD 5.8 million, from JOD 7.5 million on Tuesday’s session.
